How to Get Better Skin Before a Wedding or Big Event: A 3-Month Treatment Plan

Three months gives you room to improve, not rush
The best pre-event skin plan usually starts well before the week of the event. Three months allows time for collagen-focused treatments to work, for pigment or texture treatments to settle and for you to learn how your skin responds before the final countdown.
Months 3 to 2: focus on the bigger goals
This is the window for treatments that need recovery or gradual remodeling. Depending on your skin, that may include microneedling, RF microneedling, selected laser treatments or a planned peel series. Starting earlier also gives your provider time to adjust the plan rather than stacking treatments too close together.
Month 1: refine tone, texture and hydration
As the event gets closer, the plan can shift toward predictable skin-quality treatments. A lighter peel, HydraFacial® or custom facial may be used depending on whether the priority is brightness, congestion, hydration or surface smoothness. Avoid introducing an aggressive treatment at the last minute.
The final week: keep it familiar
Close to the event, the goal is calm, hydrated, reliable skin. Stick with treatments and products your skin already tolerates. This is not the ideal time to experiment with a strong peel or an unfamiliar active that could create irritation.
Build the timeline around your skin
At MajorGlow, pre-event planning starts with the date and works backward. We consider your skin concerns, previous treatment history and downtime tolerance, then sequence only the treatments that serve the final result. A consultation about three months out gives the most flexibility.
Build in a buffer
For a wedding or major event, even a low-downtime treatment should have a buffer for unexpected redness, dryness, or swelling. The final weeks are better reserved for procedures your skin has already handled predictably.
Do a trial when the event matters
If you want to try a new treatment before a wedding, test it well in advance. That gives you time to see your personal recovery pattern and whether the result is worth repeating closer to the event.
